We love our local produce. Eating vegetables from the closest source means ultimate freshness. Well, it doesn’t get any closer than the 4th Annual Sustainable Feast at Stroud Water Research Center. Dr. Bernard Sweeney and the Board of Directors cordially invite you to enjoy a sumptuous, multicourse meal which celebrates local, sustainable agriculture and highlights the need for clean, fresh water to produce our food. Even local brewery, Victory, is getting in on the fun, offering special brews to pair along with the meal.
The feast will be held at the beautifully restored “ruins” at Applestone Farm in Unionville, Pa on Friday, June 29 at 7 pm. An individual ticket may be purchased for $175 and Mayfly Club members (age 21-40) can attend for $125. There are two Farm Sponsorship options available as well; one for $100 and another at $40. In all honesty, you can’t put a price on this experience but this opportunity, which includes a farm fresh tasting menu by Aimee Olexy, owner of Talula’s Table, is well worth the price.
Event organizers kindly request that you RSVP by June 22. Do so by calling Kay Dixon at 610.268.2153, ext. 247 or emailing kdixon@stroudcenter.org. Attire is casual and the rain date is set for June 30.
