Biking season will soon be well underway, debuting in Oxford tonight, June 28. If you’re missing the kick off event, make up for it on July 6 when the finals of the inaugural Chesco Grand Prix take place in Kennett Square. If you blink, the day might whiz right past you (literally) so keep those eyes peeled!
Town residents and visitors will have the opportunity to see a high-quality series of cycling criteriums. The first race begins at 5 pm with the featured professional race taking place at 7:15 p.m. There will also be a local “celebrity” race, kids’ races, and other family-friendly activities throughout the event.
The Farmers Market will still be held on July 6th, with the additional First Friday vendors. Parking will be accessible in the municipal garage, although traffic on the main streets in Kennett will be detoured that afternoon and evening. Don’t get down about the detour.
